Terra d’Italia

Il 2 agosto 1847 il cancelliere austriaco Klemens von Metternich scriveva: “La parola “Italia” è un’espressione geografica …” Dopo 13 anni l’Italia diventava uno Stato nonostante lo scetticismo di chi fingeva di dimenticare che quella parola “ Italia “ per i più grandi artisti d’Europa significava ben più di una bizzarria geografica, ma rappresentava la civiltà, il sapere, la cultura, l’arte e tutte le espressioni più elevate prodotte dall’uomo nel corso della storia.

I più illuminati tra gli esponenti della cultura mondiale hanno considerato per secoli il “Gran Tour“, il viaggio in Italia, come un passaggio irrinunciabile della loro formazione teorica e pratica. Che cosa rimane oggi, a distanza di 150 anni di quella speranza di riunire le varie anime presenti sulla penisola chiamata Italia e della volontà di farne un unico testimone e continuatore di quell’immensità di doni di cui siamo custodi?

La nostra XX rassegna di satira è dedicata a una riflessione sull’Italia, che per noi rappresenta un’identità prima di tutto culturale, identità che sentiamo, ogni giorno di più, in pericolo di estinzione. Ci confrontiamo continuamente con un mondo che sacrifica, in nome di globalizzanti chimere a scadenza, quel patrimonio di saperi costruito con lenta saggezza da chi viveva col pensiero rivolto a noi, rivolto al futuro. A te, alla tua poetica, ironica, dissacrante, lucida, ferocia satirica, raccogliere questi segnali, i pensieri e le emozioni legate alla Terra d'Italia e rappresentarli dal punto di vista della tua arte e della tua terra.

REGOLAMENTO

• 1. Gli autori possono presentare un numero illimitato di opere, riservandosi lo Studio d’Arte Andromeda la facoltà di esporre quelle, che a suo insindacabile giudizio, riterrà più aderenti al tema.
• 2. Le opere devono essere originali, possono essere realizzate con qualunque tecnica e devono attenersi scrupolosamente al tema.
• 3. Formato massimo ammesso: A3.
• 4. Le opere dovranno pervenire allo Studio d’Arte Andromeda in via Malpaga, 17 38122 Trento – Italia entro il 15 aprile 15 maggio 2010.
• 5. La data dell’inaugurazione sarà comunicata per tempo a tutti i partecipanti.
• 6. Le opere saranno restituite su richiesta.
• 7. Le opere premiate e segnalate rimarranno proprietà del comitato organizzatore.
• 8. Lo Studio si riserva di stampare un catalogo con le opere più significative e il diritto di utilizzare le stesse per informazioni, notizie e documentazioni inerenti la mostra. Il catalogo sarà consegnato durante l’inaugurazione o spedito su richiesta con le opere.
• 9. Lo Studio d’Arte Andromeda non risponde di eventuali danni o dispersioni delle opere, pur assicurando la massima cura per il materiale preso in consegna.
• 10. Il concorso prevede l’assegnazione dei seguenti premi:
  • 1° Premio: € 1000,00
  • 2° Premio: € 700,00
  • 3° Premio: € 500,00
  • Premio del pubblico: € 300,00

Italian Land

On 2 August 1847 the Austrian chancellor Klemens von Metternich, wrote: "The word Italy is a geographical expression..." After 13 years Italy became a State despite the skepticism of those who pretended to forget that the word "Italy" to the greatest artists Europe meant more than just a geographical oddity, but represented civilization, knowledge, culture, art and all the highest expressions produced by humans throughout history.

The most enlightened leaders of world culture, for centuries, considered the "Grand Tour", traveling in Italy, as an essential step in their education and training. What remains today, after 150 years of that hope to merge the different souls present on the peninsula called Italy and the desire to make a single witness and continuation of the immensity of which we are custodians of gifts? Our review of XX satire is devoted to a discussion on Italy, which for us is first of all, cultural identity, identity that we feel, every day, in danger of extinction.

We are dealing with a world that continually sacrificed in the name of globalizing short term illusions, that wealth of knowledge built with slow wisdom from those who lived with the thought, turning to us, to the future. To you, to your poetic, ironic, irreverent, bright, satiric ferocity, pick these signals, the thoughts and emotions related to the land of Italy and represent them in terms of your art and your land.

REGULATION

• 1. Authors may submit an unlimited number of works, Studio d'Arte Andromeda reserving the right to expose those, which, in its sole discretion, considers most adherents to the theme.
• 2. The works must be original, can be made with any technique, and must adhere strictly to the theme.
• 3. Maximum size allowed: A3.
• 4. The works must arrive at the Studio d'Arte Andromeda - via Malpaga, 17 - 38122 - Trento - Italy before April 15th May 15th 2010.
• 5. The date of the inauguration will be notified in time to all participants.
• 6. The works will be returned on demand.
• 7. The Organization Committee will keep the prize-winner and signal works.
• 8. The Studio reserves the right to print a catalog with the most significant works and the right to use the same access to information, news and documents about the exhibition. The catalog will be delivered during the opening or sent on request with the works.
• 9. Andromeda's Art Studio don’t answer of possible damaged or missing works, but maximum care of the delivered works is assured.
• 10. The contest has the following prizes:
  • 1st prize: € 1000,00
  • 2nd Prize: € 700,00
  • 3rd Prize: € 500,00
  • Visitors Prize: € 300,00
